Meet your Physiotherapist

I’m Andrew, the physiotherapist behind Healix – Community Physio Care. I am an HCPC-registered physiotherapist with extensive experience across community rehabilitation, orthopaedics and musculoskeletal care.

I established Healix to provide professional, unhurried physiotherapy that focuses on the whole person—not simply a diagnosis. I will take time to understand how your difficulties affect everyday life, explain my findings clearly and agree a realistic treatment plan with you.

My aim is to help you move with greater confidence, manage your symptoms and maintain as much independence as possible.

What to expect

1. Get in touch

Contact Healix to briefly discuss your needs, location and availability. This helps establish whether home physiotherapy is likely to be appropriate.

2. Initial assessment at home

Your first visit will explore your symptoms, mobility, general health and the activities that matter most to you.

3. Agree your treatment plan

We will discuss the assessment findings and agree realistic goals, appropriate treatment and a personalised exercise plan.

4. Review your progress

Follow-up visits can be arranged when appropriate, with your plan adjusted as your needs and progress change.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a GP referral?

No. Adults can contact Healix directly. If your assessment identifies something requiring medical investigation or another service, this will be explained and appropriate next steps recommended.

What happens during the initial assessment?

We will discuss your symptoms, health, mobility and goals before completing an appropriate physical assessment. You will then receive a clear explanation of the findings, initial advice and an agreed treatment plan.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily and, where appropriate, allows the relevant area to be assessed. Your comfort, dignity and preferences will always be respected.

Do I need to provide any equipment?

No specialist equipment is required. Please have any walking aids you normally use available, along with relevant medical letters or a current medication list if these may help your assessment.

Can a relative or carer be present?

Yes. A relative, friend or carer is welcome to attend with your agreement and can be involved in discussions or practical advice where appropriate.

What if I am unsure whether physiotherapy is suitable?

Contact Healix for an initial discussion. If home physiotherapy does not appear to be the appropriate option, you will be advised before arranging an appointment wherever possible.

Ready to discuss your needs?

Contact Healix for an initial, no-obligation discussion about your needs and whether home physiotherapy may be appropriate. If I am with a client and unable to answer, please leave a message and I will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
